Probably the one thing you can’t do without if you really want to make a statement and go all Swan Lake this Christmas is this gorgeous plume skirt, which is £165.

Flat shoes work best with this look, and I recently recommended the divine gold sequin pumps by Zara, which would be perfect if you’ve snapped them up already (I’m pretty sure they’d sell out quickly).

All you need to top it off is a sequin couture tee, and there are many different styles available on the high street including TopShop where you’ll find a gold sequin striped version at £50 and this gorgeous black beaded tee also at £50.

ballet typingOne of my favourite stores, Anthropologie, has this vintage iTypewriter where you can dock your iPad or plug-in your desktop and type away with the satisfying click-clack of a vintage Royal typewriter.

Repurposed by Philadelphian Jack Zylkin, this ingenious machine melds era-spanning technologies, and when unplugged, can still be used as originally intended – with inked ribbon and paper.

Yay for that ! It’s £698.00 – not so yay but you could always ask Father Christmas !!

The self-styled Look Dream Dress is the result of a competition by fashion retailer Oasis, who asked Look magazine readers to come up with their ultimate party dress.

There were over 17,000 entries!

The resulting design, by Melissa Gormley, in stunning pink lace is just about perfect and will take you to the ballet morning, noon and night and at £60 it’s not going to break the bank either.

That’s a win-win !

You can see the dress in motion here and read more about Melissa’s design inspiration.

This dress will even take you ice-skating, and Tiffany & Co’s Skate Somerset House season has just opened in London – but hurry if you want to find a session available!

Don’t forget your Christmas Cupcakes & Conversation – perfect for post Christmas lunch !

I’ve like to send every Ballet Newser a little gift for Christmas to say thank you for being so wonderful and for having such great taste!  Please get in touch and Santa will do the rest!
