Carlos Acosta’s new Royal Ballet production of Don Quixote is on BBC Four at 8pm on Christmas Day.

  • Les Patineurs on 15 December at 3.30pm and then at various other times during the festive period.
  • The Nutcracker on Christmas Day at 4.30pm and 11pm, and on Boxing Day at 8am
  • Swan Lake on Boxing Day at 4.30pm and 11.30pm, and 27 December at 8am.
  • The Sleeping Beauty on 27 December at 4.30pm and 11.30pm, and 28 December at 8am

    There is always some ballet in the New Year concert from Vienna, usually in the Schönbrunn Palace. The dancers are from the State Ballet and I believe that their choreographer is Ashley Page. Merry Christmas by the way.
