Ballet New Year’s Eve

Heading to the Ballet on New Year’s Eve ? Here’s a great dress that I’ve picked out to take you from afternoon tea at Claridges to the Royal Opera House and then on to a fireworks display before heading to the party to see in the New Year. It’s a hard-working dress that isn’t too over the top but ticks all the right boxes!

The great thing about it is that it’s navy, not black, so immediately you are ringing the changes. It’s a crushed sequin chiffon dress by Nicole Farhi that will never date and is stunning. It’s £550.00. Steal the spotlight in show-stopping sequins. This crushed sequin chiffon navy dress, made from silk and wool will be your ultimate go-to party dress. Designed to dazzle on any evening event, your wardrobe needs this utterly form-flattering sleeveless LBD.  STYLE CODE: 21AH642

You’ll need a fabulous pair of heels to work this dress, and LK Bennett’s gold court shoe is currently on sale.

The Bennett point toe court is taken to a new level of beauty with the lustrous satin solids and exclusive print patterns. The point toe is balanced by a square topline, providing a lighter
more feminine look overall. The tapered heel is placed at the centre of the natural heel for increased comfort.

It’s currently £95.00 – from £185, so hurry !

If glittery shoes are more your thing, and if you’ve had trouble running to earth the Miu Miu pink glitter shoes that seem to be on everyone’s wish list this season, I’ve found another pair that are beign sold for a very good cause and look fabulous too!

THE SPARKLING SHOE – For Teenage Cancer Trust is being sold at Dune for £90.00. It’s a Limited Edition Sparkling Shoe collaborating with Teenage Cancer Trust and so $50 of this shoe goes to helping young people fight cancer. (Excluded from use with any promotional codes).

You could wear these pink shoes with your navy crushed sequin dress and find another clutch bag – in fact the Anya Hindmarch glitter clutch comes in three shades but you may find that’s too much glitter in one outfit!

And finally, should it be snowing and you have to get to the ballet, the quite fabulous people at Hunter wellies have come up with their take on the Moon Boot, beloved of skiers everywhere! The snow-proof boots are £75. The Chatel Gloss is Hunter’s take on a classic snow boot for women. Just like the Chatel in terms of features but with gloss trim added for stand-out appeal. An adjustable fit is provided with laces which run up the leg and the outsole is chosen for comfort and grip. M – UK 3-5, EU 35-38  L – UK 6-7, EU 39-41.
