Ballet News Blossoms (and there’s a bit of glitter)
It’s that time of year when the woolly, winter clothes feel too thick and heavy but the light flirty summer clothes seem too insubstantial. But there is a way to navigate the seasons, by picking out key pieces that will work on their own during the long, sultry summer days but will also work for you now, teamed with other things – a great jacket or a glittery pair of shoes for example.
That’s what I have for you today – a couple of highlights that work right now but can also be used in many different combinations as the summer heats up (we can only hope!).
Here’s a dress that I’ve been itching to write about since I first saw it several months ago in the depths of winter! Now it’s Spring, and with the promise of warmer summer days tantalizingly close, this causal Miss Selfridge neon, blossom print dress makes getting up and ready for the day a pleasure.
It’s 100% viscose and £39.
Team it with a denim jacket for a casual look. This TopShop Moto crop bleach denim jacket is perfect, and it’s machine washable, 100% cotton and £38 so it won’t break the bank.
If you do want to add a bit of glitter to this look -and why not ? – then these Massimo Dutti Glitter Slippers (even the name is fab!) are indispensible. Comfortable, leather, stylish and most of all sparkly, at £79.90 they will work hard for you.
If you want a heel, go for it, but I think this dress is perfect for tripping through the park and you don’t want to be doing that literally!
