Hope Alina recovers well and soon. Is it the same shoe-related injury she mentioned in the past? Will miss her in Theme and Variations but also looking forward to Sarah’s performance in it – she has such a luminous quality to her dancing now.

Sarah Lamb was very good in Theme and Variations – delicate and sweet, with a serene disposition, no problems with the technical demands of the piece. Tamara Rojo replaced her as Masha in Winter Dreams in a strange sort of musical chairs – Sarah’s partner had to be replaced too, so Nehemiah Kish was another one making an unexpected debut – he was excellent in the role of Vershinin. Kim Brandstrup’s new ballet was excellent in both the design and lighting as well as choreography.
