English National Ballet and East London Dance join forces for Shhh… it’s a Secret a dance experience unlike any other, taking place at Westfield Stratford City and Westfield London on Friday 18 May.
Shhh… it’s a Secret celebrates the Big Dance 2012six week countdown for the East and West London Hubs, East London Dance and English National Ballet.

Over 200 dancers from across London will work with renowned international choreographer André Gingras from Dance Works Rotterdam to produce a flashmob dance explosion at two of London’s most iconic locations in East and West London.
The flashmob sees over 200 people of all ages dancing together in a breathtaking performance at the twoWestfieldshopping centres to celebrate Big Dance 2012 on the day the Olympic Torch arrives in theUK. The dancers from across London have worked with English National Ballet and East London Dance dance artists under the artistic direction of lead artist Laura Harvey and choreographer André Gingras to create a 7 minute flash mob that will be performed four times, twice at Westfield Stratford City and twice at Westfield London.
The dancers have been chosen to represent the diversity of dance across the capital with ballet, tap, flamenco and much, much more. This project sees performers aged 9 – 90 working together to produce a unique dance moment.
Big Dance, founded in 2006, is the world’s biggest dance initiative. This major biennial dance festival is a vibrant, high profile campaign to get everyone dancing – wherever they are, whatever their age, experience or ability. Big Dance is thrilled to be part of the London 2012 Festival.
