English National Ballet has released details of it’s 2011/12 season as follows :

Strictly Gershwin on tour

6 – 9 October (preview week)

12 Oct-19 November (National tour)

14-18 February 2012 Bristol Hippodrome

January 2012 London Coliseum

The Nutcracker

7 December – 14 January 2012 London Coliseum

Beyond Ballet Russes (The Rite of Spring/Ode:Meditation sur la majeste de Dieu/Firebird/Suite en Blanc/Apollo/L’apres midi d’un faun)

22 March – 1 April London Coliseum (tickets on sale 21 July)

There are two programmes :

One = L’apres midi d’un faun/Firebird/The Rite of Spring

Two = Apollo/Ode/Suite en Blanc

Dance GB

19 June – 8 July 2012 Glasgow, Cardiff and Greenwich, London

Three UK national companies celebrate the Olympics by echoing Team GB – “faster, higher, stronger.” Each company will commission a contemporary choreographer to create new work that will be performed together as part of the Cultural Olympiad.

    @May Ode is choreographed by Toer van Schayk who takes the magic of the Aurora Borealis. George Williamson choreographs Firebird with costumes by David Bamber for Tom Ford.
