World-renowned rider, director and stage designer, Bartabas and his company Zingaro come to London for the first time to appear at Sadler’s Wells in an Equestrian Theatre new specially commissioned production. Featuring horses live on stage, the show, choreographed by Bartabas and one of Japan’s greatest butoh masters, Ko Murobushi, examines the extraordinary relationship between man and horse. (Tuesday 1 – Sunday 6 March 2011).

Sadler’s Wells joins forces with electronic pop legends Pet Shops Boys and radical choreographer Javier De Frutos to create a brand new full-length dance work based on Hans Christian Andersen’s story, The Most Incredible Thing. This modern fairytale features former Royal Ballet star Ivan Putrov, film animation by BAFTA winner Tal Rosner, design by Katrina Lindsay, a 26-piece orchestra and a 16-strong cast (17 – Saturday 26 March 2011).

One of the world’s foremost choreographers, William Forsythe returns to Sadler’s Wells with his company to present I don’t believe in outer space, a very personal piece, both comic and tragic in places, that looks at society through Forsythe’s own eyes. (Tuesday 22 & Wednesday 23 February 2011).

The Dutch National Ballet returns to London to present three of Hans van Manen’s best-loved pieces including his masterwork, Grosse Fuge (Thursday 12 – Saturday 14 May 2011). 

American Ballet Theatre, recognised as one of the greatest dance companies in the world, presents two mixed bills which showcase the company’s extraordinary versatility (Tuesday 1 – Sunday 6 February)
