February 10, 2011… Principal Dancers Heather Ogden and Guillaume Côté will perform at the ballet gala celebrating the 50th anniversary of Stuttgart Ballet on February 12 & 13, 2011. They will dance a new work by Canadian choreographer Sabrina Matthews called In peril, commissioned especially by Artistic Director Karen Kain and will join other international guests as well as soloists from Stuttgart Ballet and the John Cranko School onstage. 

Ms. Kain has been invited to attend an International Directors Conference in Stuttgart, an invitation-only event for leaders of the top ballet companies in the world, February 11 – 13, 2011. Artistic Directors from such companies as Stuttgart Ballet, The Royal Ballet, Hamburg Ballet, Teatro alla Scala, American Ballet Theatre, Australian Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders, Ballet de Santiago de Chile and National Ballet of China will also be in attendance.

Ms. Ogden and Mr. Côté will perform in The National Ballet of Canada’s Don Quixote, March 9 – 13, John Cranko’s Onegin, March 17 – 20, and a mixed programme featuring the Canadian premiere of Alexei Ratmansky’s Russian Seasons and George Balanchine’s Apollo and Theme and Variations, March 23 – 27.
