Northern Ballet | Exciting new dance in Leeds
Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre hosts an innovative programme of exciting ballet and contemporary dance this season. A combination of brand new work and renowned pieces from established to emerging talent make this season unmissable.
Northern Ballet’s Ugly Duckling is a must. From 29 October – 02 November Northern ballet deliver their first ballet especially for children. Follow the duckling on her journey as she overcomes her troubles and turns into a beautiful swan, beginning a happy new life. This is the prefect opportunity to introduce your little ones to the magic of ballet, live music and theatre.
On 10 November Cassa Pancho’s Ballet Black celebrate the talents of black and Asian dancers from around the world, performing at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre for the first time. Mixed Programme offers premières from the latest British talent including Jonathon Goddard (Rambert Dance Company) and Jonathan Watkins (the Royal Ballet) and will debut Storyville, a dark tale from 1900’s New Orleans by Christopher Hampson, renowned choreographer and Artistic Director of Scottish Ballet.
