Ballet promotions 

Scottish Ballet would like to announce that the following dancers have been promoted: Luke Ahmet has been promoted to Soloist, and Quenby Hersh, Sophie Laplane and Owen Thorne have all been promoted to Coryphée.

Luke has been with Scottish Ballet since 2003 and has danced many roles including Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, the Dancing Master in Cinderella and the Gryphon in Alice. You may recognise Quenby from last year’s gorgeous Cinderella poster, and for her performance as the Cheshire Cat in Alice. Sophie’s noteable roles include Dame Mouserink in The Nutcracker, the Stepmother in Cinderella and the Mock Turtle in Alice. Owen joined Scottish Ballet just two years ago, and his roles include Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet, the Jabberwock in Alice, and the Father in Cinderella.
