This year Scottish Ballet is 40 years young!

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations, we’d like to invite Scottish Ballet dancers and staff past and present to a special 40th birthday tea party in our brand new home at Tramway, on Sunday 6th September from 3pm – 5pm.

Not only will this be a great opportunity for everyone to meet and catch up, take a tour of our new premises and enjoy some tea and birthday cake, but also to enjoy an exclusive viewing of our 40th anniversary exhibition in the T5 gallery.

This contemporary exhibition will feature moments – and movements – in time captured on camera over the last 40 years, as well as Mercury – a specially commissioned film from award-winning filmmaker Daniel Warren. This incredible piece explores a slowed-down world of motion featuring Scottish Ballet dancers, as dramatic high-definition sequences are interspersed with documentary glimpses of the intensive processes and conversations which lead to the creation of movement.

Ex colleagues should get in touch by confirming their attendance via our Facebook group, or by sending a message to MarketingPress@scottishballet.co.uk, including the years you worked with Scottish Ballet and the position you held.
