Strictly Come Dancing Halloween Results week 4
“Halloween horror for Sid Owen as he Cha Chas out of the Strictly Come Dancing spotlight”
Things got eerie this week when ghosts and ghouls took over the Strictly ballroom on Saturday night as Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly invited the twelve remaining couples to face their fears and dance their spookiest steps.
In a scarily spectacular start to the show all the celebrities and professional dancers performed a group dance to the iconic song Thriller before each couple took their turn on the haunted dancefloor.
In the Sunday night results show the public vote was added to the scores from the fearsome foursome – Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood – to reveal that Sid Owen & Ola Jordan and Colin Salmon & Kristina Rihanoff would be the next couples to face the dreaded dance off.
Both couples performed their routines again; Sid & Ola performed their Cha Cha to Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Junior, whilst Colin & Kristina performed their Salsa to Superstition by Stevie Wonder in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.
After both couples had performed for a second time the judges delivered their verdicts;
Craig chose to save Colin saying: “This couple were dynamic and simply better dancers – and that couple is Colin and Kristina.”
Darcey chose to save Colin saying: “Well they both were so much better than the performances yesterday, although the nerves hit them really hard, but I am going to have to save Colin and Kristina.”
Bruno also chose to save Colin saying: “I think overall the strongest couple were Colin and Kristina.”
With three unanimous votes to save Colin it meant that Sid Owen became the next celebrity to leave the competition.
Reflecting back on the results of tonight’s show, Sid said “I have loved every minute of it, thanks to Ola, she is a hard taskmaster but she has been great and we have had so much fun. And now I can even feel comfortable going out and maybe having a little dance.”
The Sunday night results show featured a performance by the professional dancers to Toxic whilst Paloma Faith (a Ballet News supporter) also performed her new single Never Tear Us Apart.
Tune in to next week’s show on Saturday 3rd November at 6.30pm for Strictly Come Dancing with Strictly Come Dancing: The Results on Sunday 4th November at 7.20pm on BBC One and BBC One HD.
