She has had a back injury but we don’t know if this is directly related / causing further problems.

With everyone wishing Natalie Gumede well, the show kicked off with Ben & Krstina’s Jive. Bruno said “I loved the way you dived into it” but Craig said “the best part of it was the back flip at the start”

Fiona & Anton’s Paso Doble had Bruno commenting “oh Fiona, I like your dark side”

Abbey & Aljaz danced a Fosse inspired Charleston and “the enormous attention to detail was impressive” according to Craig

Mark & Iveta struggled with the Rhumba, even with their Bond theme, with Len commenting, “gold in your fingers; lead in your bum”

Susanna & Kevin’s waltz earned high praise from Len, “you light up my life and you light up this ballroom”

Dave & Karen’s tango lacked an Argentinian feel, with Bruno commenting “you were stompy around like a beast of burden”

Ashley & Ola’s Quickstep showed Ashley’s improved top line even with the pair collapsing on the judges desk at the end of the routine. Bruno described their dance as “like a pair of dragonflies”

Sophie & Brendan danced the first Argentine Tango of the series and Len declared it “a cracking routine”

Patrick & Anya’s American Smooth “was pure Hollywood” according to Bruno and Darcey said of Patrick, “you ooze style”
