The Royal Ballet will celebrate the centenary of Benjamin Britten’s birth during the 2012/13 Season with exciting new productions.

The Royal Ballet collaborates with Aldeburgh Festival and Dance East to present a new work by Kim Brandstrup set to Benjamin Britten’s Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge, which will have its premiere at the Aldeburgh Festival in 2013.

Kevin O’ Hare, Director, The Royal Ballet added, “I am delighted that in Britten’s centenary year, The Royal Ballet will be exploring further the potential of some of Britten’s other works.  It is a particular pleasure for me, in my first season as Director, that we will be collaborating with the Aldeburgh Festival and DanceEast to present a new work by Kim Brandstrup, set to Britten’s Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge.”
