The Royal Ballet in Brazil

The Royal Opera House is to expand international links with Brazil through performances, education work and skills training in the city in Rio de Janeiro later this month.
A two day symposium links dance teachers, schools, professional dance companies and others from Rio, in a partnership with Theatro Municipal and the British Council’s Transform Festival.
Dancers from The Royal Ballet including Brazillians Roberta Marquez and Thiago Soares will head to Rio de Janeiro this month to forge education and skills work as well as offering gala performances at the Theatro Municipal.
Several choreographers will present pieces inlcuding Christopher Wheeldon and Wayne McGregor.
The Royal Ballet may tour to Brazil in 2015.
