Two dancers to leave The Royal Ballet

Mara Galeazzi, a Principal with The Royal Ballet, and First Artist Jonathan Watkins will leave the company this year. Galeazzi will retire from ballet in July this year to move to be with her husband in Oman, and her final performance will be in Monaco on June 29th in Manon. This means that her final performance in London will be as Mary Vetsera in Mayerling on 13th June. Galeazzi intends to teach dance and continue her work for her charity Dancing for the Children.

Watkins will leave the company on February 23rd to persue a career in choreography.
